Cybersecurity researchers at Cybernews discovered the 1 terabyte database on November 11, 2025. The database was publicly accessible online with no password or authentication required. They notified the company immediately and IDMerit secured the database the following day. No evidence of malicious exploitation has been reported, though researchers note that automated threat actor crawlers routinely scan for and download such exposed instances so no one can be sure if this is out in the public domain at this time.

Database contents

The database contained roughly 3 billion total records. About 1 billion were sensitive personal data, while the remaining 2 billion consisted of less sensitive database logs. Exposed information included:

• Full names

• Addresses and post codes

• Dates of birth

• National IDs

• Phone numbers

• Gender

• Email addresses

• Telco metadata

• Breach status flags

• Social profile annotations

This structured KYC-style data originated from IDMerit’s identity verification services used by client organisations worldwide.

The scale is astounding

This affects individuals and businesses across the globe and its understood that;

• United States: ~203–204 million records

• Mexico: ~123–124 million

• Philippines: 72 million

• Germany: 60–61 million

• Italy: 52–53 million

• France: 52–53 million

Additional countries included Turkey (49M), Brazil (39M), Spain (31M), Malaysia (24M), Vietnam (21M), Argentina (20M), Colombia (18M), Peru (14M), Canada (12M), Australia (12M), and smaller volumes down to Morocco (1M). The full list spans 26 nations across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Importantly, this was not a breach involving unauthorised intrusion. It was a classic human misconfiguration with an open database left exposed on the public internet. IDMerit has not issued a public statement as yet despite contact from multiple outlets including ourselves.

Risks and Implications

Experts at Cybernews warn of serious downstream consequences due to the data’s richness and structure:

• Account takeovers

• Targeted phishing campaigns

• Credit and identity fraud

• SIM-swapping attacks (enabled by national IDs + telco metadata)

• Sophisticated social engineering

The leak underscores a growing concern that third-party identity verification vendors have become critical infrastructure. A single misstep can create a single point of catastrophic failure for entire sectors relying on their systems for age verification checks recently introduced across the public within the Online Safety Bill introduced in the UK.

This incident joins a string of recent large-scale configuration-based exposures, including an 8.7 billion-record Elasticsearch incident involving primarily Chinese data reported earlier in 2026.

What should affected individuals do?

• Watch for unsolicited calls, texts, or emails referencing personal details (a hallmark of targeted phishing).

• Monitor bank statements, credit reports, and accounts for unusual activity.

• Enable two-factor authentication everywhere (preferably app-based or hardware keys, not SMS).

• Consider enrolling in credit monitoring or identity theft protection services if offered through breached organisations or available via your bank/employer.

Increase your own security today

While the database is now locked and no active exploitation is confirmed, the sheer volume and sensitivity of the exposed KYC data make this one of the most significant configuration leaks on record. For consumers, it’s another reminder that your personal information is often held by vendors you’ve never heard of. Remember to increase your own security and vigilance. Consider investing in a VPN like Proton or Nord, use 2FA where you can and make sure you dont use the same password on all your accounts! Both mac and PC have their own built in Password managers so use them.

For the industry, it’s a wake up call that AI powered verification must include equally robust security standards, starting with not leaving terabytes of sensitive records wide open on the internet for anyone to access because the Chinese or Russian bots will.

We have our Ministers offering worthless words about world leading security and safety of our data, but the reality on the ground is a catalogue of errors, cut corners, and alarming vulnerabilities. Outsourced to Romanian with no security checks

So whilst these Ministers continue the narrative that this system is secure, the picture they try to paint is collapsing around their ears. Investigative reports from late 2025 revealed that critical development work for the One Login system was allegedly offshored to contractors in Romania without the knowledge of senior members of the project team. Whistleblowers within the project also warned that developers overseas were granted access to sensitive system components without the necessary security clearance.

Security testing failure

Even more chilling are the reports of a Red Team test, a simulation designed to test system defences, that failed miserably. Ethical hackers reportedly managed to plant malware on a system administrator’s device and access sensitive areas of the network without detection. The system’s security didn’t log anything. The breach went entirely undetected by the security monitoring teams. Beta versions of software deployed to a staging server for testing always have issues, hence the very nature of a beta testing phase before release, but a security system not picking up anything from an intrusion and placing of malware during a testing cycle is unbelievably incompetent.

If a test team can walk through the front door unnoticed when the security is on the look out, what are foreign intelligence agencies like China or criminal gangs already doing? And if you think that data is securely encrypted at rest you really think thats going to be the case when you know of other complete incompetence? Its highly doubtful and don’t forget, China are already harvesting encrypted data that can’t be encrypted today but once quantum computing becomes more accessible it will be cracked within weeks.

Contractor Certification lapses & NCSC concerns

Don’t worry, it gets much worse. In May 2025, it emerged that the One Login system had actually lost its certification under the government’s own Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework. Why? Because a key technology supplier failed to renew its compliance.

The NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) has reportedly flagged risks relating to bulk data theft and identity fraud, warning that the system could expose the locations of vulnerable individuals, such as those in witness protection.

Governments cannot be trusted

These MPs who throw around phrases like ‘safe and secure’ are asking us to trust them with a single digital ID that unlocks our entire lives from health records to tax details, banking, travel and location. But their track record suggests they couldn’t be trusted to run a bath, let alone a national identity database. Over the last five years, the UK government and its contractors have presided over a wild west approach of data protection, characterised by amateurish errors and catastrophic hacks. They demand total transparency from us, failing their own standards, while their own systems leak like a sieve.

• Ministry of Defence Payroll Hack (May 2024): In one of the most embarrassing breaches in recent history, the banking details and personal addresses of 270,000 serving personnel and veterans were accessed. The breach, blamed on a malign actor (widely suspected to be China), targeted a third-party contractor system, exposing our armed forces to potential coercion and fraud.

• Email Hacks of Parliamentarians (March 2024) Security services revealed that APT31 conducted reconnaissance activity (phishing and email monitoring) against British MPs and peers. The targets were those who had been vocal critics of the Chinese government, such as members of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC).

• Critical National Infrastructure Hacks (August 2025) Salt Chinese-linked companies were identified as targeting foreign governments and critical telecommunications networks. In December 2025, the UK sanctioned two specific Chinese firms (i-Soon and Integrity Technology Group) for their roles in managing botnets and providing hacker-for-hire services to Chinese intelligence.

• The Electoral Commission Cyber-Attack (Revealed Aug 2023): For over a year, hostile actors had access to the Electoral Commission’s servers without anyone noticing. The attackers accessed the names and addresses of 40 million voters registered between 2014 and 2022. It was arguably the largest data breach in UK history, yet the public was kept in the dark for months.

• PSNI Spreadsheet Disaster (Aug 2023): In a display of sheer administrative incompetence, the Police Service of Northern Ireland accidentally published a spreadsheet online in response to a Freedom of Information request. The document contained the names, ranks, and duty locations of all 10,000 officers and staff. In a region where police security is life and death, this error forced officers and their families to move house in fear for their lives.

• The Capita Breach (March 2023): A cyber attack on government outsourcing giant Capita left dozens of local councils and the UK’s largest pension fund exposed. The breach compromised the data of thousands of citizens, proving that outsourcing vital state functions to the private sector often just outsources the blame when things go wrong.

• Home Office Delete Blunder (Jan 2021): A coding error led to the accidental deletion of 15,000 police records from the Police National Computer, including fingerprint and DNA records of suspects. Criminals were effectively given a clean slate because the Home Office couldn’t manage its own Delete button.

The pattern is undeniable. Governments are not capable of managing a centralised, high-security digital identity infrastructure. They are building a honeypot for hackers, and when it inevitably goes wrong, it will be your identity that is stolen, and lets be honest, probably by China now they are about to be given the go ahead for the biggest state monitoring operation in the EU right here in central London right next to critical communication cables.

These people rejoicing need to understand this.

• Will he continue with the £m’s investment in infrastructure, YES he will.

• Will he introduce it for government services, YES he will.

• Will he introduce it for anything ‘safety’ related, YES he will.

• Will he introduce it and create a two tier society, YES he will.

• Will he introduce it for kids as young as 13, YES he will.

But there there are even the bigger questions…

• Does he need Digital ID for a CBDC, YES he does.

• Does he need Digital ID for complete state monitoring, YES he does.

• Does he need Digital ID for WEF projects, YES he does.

• Does he need Digital ID for BIS projects, YES he does.

• Does he need Digital ID for EU Superstate Project, YES he does.

• Does he need Digital ID for Personal Carbon Allowances, YES he does.

So don’t let the headlines fool you. If you are one of many who breathed a sigh of relief earlier this week when the government announced they were rolling back on plans for mandatory Digital ID, you are very much mistaken. This wasn’t a retreat at all, it was a rebranding exercise.

The government would have you believe they’ve listened to the people. They claim they’ve rolled back the plans to make Digital ID compulsory for right-to-work checks. But while ministers are busy performing a public relations pivot, the machinery of the digital state is still being assembled in the background, quietly, expensively, and without your consent implementing this papers please society.

The state monitoring plan is still full steam ahead

The reality is that the infrastructure for a digital identity system hasn’t been scrapped and contracts still in place and moving forward. It’s called GOV.UK One Login, and it is the backbone of everything Starmer’s government plans to do. They might have dropped the word mandatory for now relating to right-to-work of British people to silence the MPs complaints, backbench rebellion and civil liberties groups, but the destination remains the same.

If you want to access tax records, check your state pension, or interact with public services, the NHS, you are being funnelled into this single, centralised digital signature. The choice to opt-out is an illusion. If the only way to function in society efficiently is to have a Digital ID, then it is mandatory in all but name.

My personal opinion is that Starmers objective is a place at the head of the EU, WEF or whatever the European Socialist Government looks like in the years ahead. To do that he has to implement the whims of the EU/WEF/WHO/BIS etc that includes complete state monitoring and Digital ID is at the core.

This is a loss and this is why

This announcement is being presented as a climbdown based on some sort of caring consultation with the British public. From pressure groups and protests to Rupert Lowe’s open letter signed by a wide cross party of MPs. Thats rubbish.

People are believing the propaganda from the state and sitting back thinking it’s a victory when in reality it really isn’t. The government has given a response to the efforts so far and Starmer & Co consider it addresses are still steaming ahead with these plans regardless of our complaints with no democratic mandate.

The fight has just reset to zero and it all starts again.

You will still need a Digital ID to access all government services. I tell you now, they will also bring in law amendments ‘for our protection’ that will require Digital ID and if you don’t have it you wont be able to partake in society, you will become a second class citizen in Stasi Britain. The most obvious examples are;

• Internet Access - to keep you safe online harm

• Bank Accounts - keep you safe from financial fraud

• Travelling - to keep you safe from terrorism

They are going to make your life impossible to live without it.

Earlier in December 2025, Parliament held a debate in response to an online petition opposing the introduction of digital identification systems in the UK. The petition garnered nearly 200,000 signatures and one of the most signed in recent British history showing the strength of opposition from the public, triggering the mandatory debate.

These debates are routinely live streamed on the official UK Parliament YouTube channel and made publicly searchable. However, this particular debate (lasting 3-4 hours) was uploaded as ‘unlisted’. This meant it couldn’t appear in YouTube search results or recommendations; viewers could only access it via a direct link or by digging through playlists on the Parliament website.

During the debate itself, the Labour government faced significant criticism even from some within their own party, over the proposed digital ID framework. Many speakers highlighted privacy concerns and potential overreach, turning the session into a total embarrassment for the government.

The “Administrative Error” Explanation

Following widespread attention (including videos from creators and numerous Freedom of Information requests from the public), the government provided an official response.

According to the Petitions Committee, which handles uploading these debates:

“By default, these debates are meant to be published and accessible to all when uploaded. In this instance, however, due to an administrative error, these debates were accidentally uploaded as unlisted.”

The response thanked concerned citizens for flagging the issue and confirmed that the video’s status has since been corrected to “public.” The debate is now fully searchable and appearing in YouTube’s algorithm.

Skepticism Remains

While the government attributes this to a simple mistake we are doubtful. Given the humiliating nature of the debate for the ruling party and the unprecedented “error” on such a high-profile petition, questions linger about whether this was truly accidental or an attempt to limit public visibility. We have all seen over the last 18 months how much this governement gaslight and lie to the public so we dont believe it.

Notably, even while unlisted, a significant number of people sought out and viewed the debate, demonstrating strong public interest in the topic.

Ofcom’s Ongoing Monitoring of VPNs

Ofcom has announced it will continue gathering detailed information on VPN adoption across the UK. This includes:

Notably, Ofcom has spent nearly half a million pounds since 2022 on internet monitoring software and services. They previously refused to disclose data sources but revealed Apptopia in response to a Freedom of Information request.

Proposed ID Verification for VPN Downloads

A more alarming proposal comes from the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill: requiring users to verify their identity (proving they’re over 18) before downloading a VPN app. This directly contradicts the core purpose of VPNs providing privacy, security and anonymity.

If implemented, new users would need to submit ID to app stores or providers and we all know that means Digital ID. Workarounds like using a VPN to switch regions for downloads wouldn’t work, it’s a classic chicken-and-egg problem.

Tech companies have responded differently:

• Apple is pushing back strongly, resisting implementation on its devices, like providing access to users backups via a back door.

• Google and Samsung have not issued public opposition and appear compliant as they have been before, exposed by Apple’s fight with the UK governement.

This isn’t scaremongering, the bill might not pass, but if it does with labours huge majority, it could significantly erode online privacy in the UK.

Caveats on Data and Studies

Many studies cited by Ofcom rely on opt in participants, potentially skewing results toward those already interested in the topic. Some findings have been disputed by bodies like the Office for National Statistics, highlighting how survey methods can influence outcomes.

The Parliamentary Debate: A One-Sided Outcry

Critics in the debate argued that tying digital ID to essential services, like the right to work or rent, makes it mandatory in practice, despite claims of voluntariness. Refuse to comply, and you could lose access to basic rights.

The core worries aren’t abstract; they’re rooted in real risks highlighted during the debate and echoed across public discourse:

• Mass Surveillance & Mission Creep A centralised (or even loosely connected) digital ID could track movements, purchases, and interactions. What starts as “convenient” verification for employment could expand to monitoring daily life. MPs warned of a “surveillance state,” where proximity data or linked records enable unwarranted questioning or detention.

• Privacy Erosion and Lack of Consent Personal data would be accessible across government departments and potentially private providers. Concerns include unlawful access without warrants and the erosion of anonymous speech or action. As one MP noted, this isn’t arriving in a vacuum—it’s building on tools like the Online Safety Act, often criticized for overreach.

• Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities No internet connected system is un-hackable. “Strict firewalls” were touted as protection, but that is a joke. Skeptics in the debate point out that data breaches happen regularly especially from China it seems. A single leak could expose sensitive information for millions, enabling identity theft or misuse on a massive scale. This system would be a hackers paradise and within the first year it will be hacked no question.

• Exclusion and Social Control For the digitally excluded (millions lack smartphones or skills), this could mean barriers to jobs, housing, or services. Broader fears include evolution into social credit-like systems, where non-compliance leads to restrictions, parallels drawn to systems in other countries facing criticism for discrimination and control.

• Democratic Deficits Ignoring a 3 million strong petition and pushing ahead without clear public mandate raises questions about accountability. The debate itself was initially hard to access (uploaded as unlisted on YouTube), fuelling suspicions of limited transparency.

• Real World Parallels and Public Sentiment These aren’t hypothetical fears. Systems like India’s Aadhaar have faced massive data leaks affecting billions, while Estonia temporarily suspended millions of IDs due to vulnerabilities. In the UK, past schemes (e.g., EU nationals’ digital-only status) led to wrongful denials of rights.

Public backlash is evident. Petitions, packed debate halls, and cross-party opposition show deep distrust. Many argue that current government trust levels don’t justify handing over such power, especially if future administrations shift politically.

No government can be trusted with this much power

Proponents claim digital ID streamlines services and combats issues like illegal immigration. But as the parliamentary debate showed, the risks to privacy, security, and liberty outweigh the benefits for a growing number of Brits.

Keir Starmer is wrong about digital ID. It won’t make life easier, it will make it riskier.

Convenience is easy to promise. Trust, inclusion, and accountability are not, and Britain’s record on digital infrastructure proves it.

I’ve watched more than 300 airlines attempt to roll out digital IDs. Many of these airlines are my clients and colleagues, and I’ve worked at the intersection of identity and borders for more than two decades.

I’ve seen smartphone apps, QR codes, biometric wallets. Most failed. Few were used by more than 2 percent of passengers. Almost all were quietly shelved.

The problem wasn’t the technology. It was scale, inclusivity and trust.

1. Inclusion

Identity, access, and participation should not depend on having a smartphone, a strong signal, or the confidence to navigate yet another app. That isn’t innovation, it’s exclusion.

2. Scale

The UK Government often points to Estonia as the model for digital identity. But Estonia’s entire population (1.6 million) is roughly the size of Croydon. You can’t copy-paste a small national system like that and expect it to work for 67 million people. It’s like taking something designed to run at 100% in Estonia and expecting it to hold up at 4,000% capacity in the UK.

3. Trust and data security

Many people are understandably wary of handing over their most personal data to a government app, especially when there’s no clear fallback if something goes wrong. And it does go wrong. Earlier this year, when Border Force’s ID verification systems failed across UK airports, thousands of passengers were left stranded as electronic gates shut down. The government had to deploy military personnel to manually check passports: a stark reminder that digital systems, however advanced, still need resilient offline, non-digital options.

And, in Vietnam, a new digital ID system linking citizens’ biometric data to their bank accounts led to more than 86 million accounts being frozen or deleted when users failed to verify through the national app. Another reminder that when these systems break, they can take people’s lives and livelihoods down with them.

4. Trust in government itself

Even the best system fails if people don’t trust the institution running it. In the UK, confidence in government technology is still fragile, and for good reason. The government has repeatedly broken our trust. We just have to look at the COVID-19 Track and Trace leak to see what happens when sensitive data isn’t properly protected. Why would anyone hand over more personal data to the same systems that failed to safeguard it before?

A working identity system must be three things: inclusive, resilient, and accountable.

Inclusive means it works for everyone, not just those who are tech-savvy and connected.

Resilient means it functions even when the app fails or the network is down.

Accountable means someone is responsible when it breaks, and that responsibility should not fall on the user or a centralised single-point-of-failure Government who we are meant to blindly trust

Digital ID, as it’s being built today, fails on all three.

Yes, we need to modernise identity. But that doesn’t mean replacing passports and driving licences with an app. It means designing infrastructure that blends digital and physical, secure and human. It means starting from inclusion, privacy, and offline access not treating them as afterthoughts.

Because identity is not just about proving who you are. It’s about belonging. And no one should be locked out of society simply because they don’t have the right phone , or the right level of faith in a government that hasn’t yet earned their trust... and has in fact repeatedly broken it.

Yes thats right, the biggest overreach, of mass state lead monitoring and control is now not technology led but politically led. This is seriously bad news and once again confirms our darkest fears that the UK government will be undertaking China style monitoring of citizens.

So now the cabinet has overall responsibility for the scheme, including policy development, legislation, and strategic oversight. The move is intended to give the high-profile project greater coordination across different government departments but we know what this is really about, manipulating its use for political gain.

The DSIT still has control over the technical design, build, and delivery of the digital identity service but not the policies and direction. The requirements and objectives of this project is now firmly political.

Firstly, the statement from Home Secretary Yvette Cooper saying 13 year olds could be forced into having a Digital ID. Considering the initial pretence of Digital ID and its expansion in literally days, thinking that this ‘could be’ will change into a ‘will be’ is not a huge leap within time. Multiple Labour MPs are already stating they wish to crack down on children accessing social media and this is a way to achieve it. But it gets much worse.

She says Digital ID will help ‘standardise process’. It will do that, it will standardise and help to conform children and adults to a way of behaving and thinking that the government of the day considers to be acceptable. If you don’t conform you will be punished.

If we let Digital ID be rolled out to our children, it will be a huge overreach by Government into your family unit and how we all access the digital world. We believe;

• They WILL control and monitor what material can be viewed on your child’s device and only government approved content will be accessible that will naturally be ideology biased.

• They WILL monitor all instant messages, both sending and receiving, who their contacts are and reference their profile and their behaviour.

• They WILL monitor where they are going, what they are doing, who they are with and at what times of the day.

• You WILL get warnings on your phone on what the government think is appropriate behaviour including what time your child is out or who they are associating with.

• You WILL have your own devices monitored and if there is evidence that a child is using your device you will be punished by having access to services withdrawn and fined via your CBDC.

• You WILL receive visits from police or social workers if they consider your child behaviour is not in line with the government accepted narrative.

In short, if we let a Digital ID be implemented and extended to our children, the government will try to parent your children in the way they sees fit, not as you wish as their parent.

Secondly, and these two are related, is the Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill. Part of the bill states that a ‘consistent identifier for children’ will be used to bring information together on a child. In principle that sounds absolutely logical and could be beneficial to bring all information into one place for the benefit of linking heath, education and social care authorities together.

But there are suspicious areas of the bill. You cannot ask for, nor will it will ever be deleted. It’s not unreasonable to surmise this ‘consistent identifier’ that will follow them into adulthood will be their Digital ID. It’s an underhand disgraceful method to push the adoption of Digital ID forward for those children under 13 in all but name.

This bill gives new powers to local government to compile a database of detailed information on children, carers, parents and any other information that the government wish to force the parents to provide including their beliefs, behaviours and family contacts.

As we already know from the admission in the House of Commons by Jess Philips MP in 2025, there has been a major cover up by government for over 30 years regarding the mass grooming and gang rape of working class children in the care of the state, with some even being horrifically murdered. Authorities were complicit in the coverup from Police and Social Services to MPs and although denied, the Prime Minister himself. This does not fill us with confidence having a centralised database accessible by any government agency or 3rd party with thousands of children’s personal details contained within. Only this week we have yet another major hacking story from Discord with 70,000 users age verification data obtained after the introduction of the Data Use & Access Bill introduced this verification as mandatory.

Conclusion

As we always say, if you are a fan of this technology or government and consider our concerns scaremongering, consider the opposite.

If the UK had Prime Minister Nick Tenconi who is on the right wing of British politics rather than Keir Starmer on the left, would you want him and his team being in charge of monitoring you and your children’s life? Would you want them storing data on where your children are, what they are doing, where they are going, what they are spending, what they are messaging, controlling what they are watching and influencing all of those aspects of their digital life? I didn’t think so.

Digital ID needs stopping at all costs for everyone.

The sheer lies being pushed by this government are shameful regarding Digital ID. It’s obvious that this is part of the published 2030 agenda by the EU and under influence of the WEF and BIS. If we allow Digital ID to be successful it will only lead to one thing; mass surveillance and control by the state on every area of our lives. They will know where we go, what we do, who we go with, what we watch, what we post, what we spend our money on and thus with their programmable CBDC can stop anything they want at any point. PCA (Personal Carbon Allowances) are already being setup as the next step for the EU and you can be guaranteed that you will be stopped from travelling by train or air, stopped from buying fuel, or drinking alcohol if you have reached your allotted allowance. It’s future is nothing short of dystopian.

Government Response

Back to the governments first reason for introducing Digital ID. At no point will the forced introduction for over 60m residents of the UK stop the illegal migration issue, it’s purely for mass surveillance and control of the native population. Many people arrive in the UK by boat and have no ID to start with, maybe some papers if we are lucky. So how will this stop illegal migration exactly?

Well, according to some labour MPs who will speak on this subject, it’s to stop illegal working. Once again this is categorically untrue. Dodgy employers who pay illegal workers today will continue to pay illegal workers tomorrow. The government is assuming that these characters will suddenly have a moral compass and put these workers on their books and perform background checks. It just won’t happen.

Then there is the cost. The UK is already nearly £3tn in debt, borrowing billions per month with over 70% of that loan going towards paying the existing debt interest every month. We are spiralling into financial meltdown and putting this rollout on top of the existing debt can only be labelling as actively pursuing this collapse.

We must resist, the freedom of our children and all future generations depend on it.

Be under no illusion these lies by the current government are only intended to make us think it’s all wonderful and Digital ID will make our lives easier. They have left five little words out ‘…will make our lives easier [for state monitoring, control, punishment].’

Digital ID will link to NHS app for appointments, medical history and vaccinations. Then to our utilities, to get online, to our travel. Then in comes the BoE programmable CBDC and bank accounts all linked to Digital ID. Next is the EU PCA (Personal Carbon Allowances) that are being discussed in the EU now. Then the final piece of the sick puzzle, a China style Social Scoring system. Complete control achieved.

You think the Covid Passport scheme was bad stopping anyone who didn’t take the jab (even those with health issues that genuinely prevented them taking it), going out for a meal or travelling. This will be 1000x worse…

• Payment Declined: You have reached your fuel allowance.

• Payment Declined: You have reached your air travel allowance.

• Payment Declined: You have reached your alcohol allowance.

• Alert: You have not taken your vaccine. All access and travel suspended.

• Alert: You post is hurtful. All banking and travel suspended for 7 days.

We all need to get together and fight this, if we don’t our children and grandchildren will suffer. And if you are of that age, think what your father would say. Dont let him down.

Nowhere in the Labour manifesto did identity cards or Digital ID appear nor budgeted for. The government has no democratic mandate whatsoever for this latest example of state sponsored monitoring and control, which is going to turn the UK into a virtual open prison and a ‘where are your papers’ society.

Couple this with the Online Safety Bill, Data Use & Access Bill and the planned programmable digital currency and it’s game over for civil liberties and freedom if this goes ahead. You say something the government dont like, it wont just be 12,000 arrests a year for social media posts sometimes in the middle of the night, or NHCIs for asking someone to speak clearly becasue they are elderly and then appearing on your DBS check; it will be turning off your devices, stopping your bank accounts and be under house arrest as we were with the covid lockdowns. This is totally against everything the British culture stands for and what our fathers and grandfathers gave their lives to preserve. It’s a betrayal of Britain.

Keir Starmer stated that one of the primary reasons for their adoption is to stop illegal migration, control our borders and stop illegal working. Most illegal immigrants arrive with no identification whatsoever and welcomed by UK Border Force being handed over by French authorities. They are brought to the UK where they claim asylum and immediately given hotel accommodation, money, mobile phones, priority healthcare, legal assistance and then start working in the black economy for cash for dodgy employers. If you are a legal immigrant then you will have a work visa already that a decent employer will reference. It wont stop illegal immigration in the slightest.

We already have a statutory requirement for any employee to present their National Insurance Number, and in most cases a copy of the passport and driving licence too. Again this is utter gaslighting and if you think this will stop people who are currently working illegally on the black market, think again. This will not stop illegal working.

The speech also briefly mentioned other subjects such as climate change which for those paying attention will horrify you. What he really means is that the Digital ID and forthcoming CBDC will be linked to programmable spends on quotas areas like energy, meat and air travel. We already know this from the proposed European Commission Citizens Carbon Quota scheme. You money will stop working if you go over your allowance of anything the commission wants. This really is the start of a dystopian society.

Starmer stated its free. Its not free, its paid with our taxes. This gaslighting is unbelievable. We will paying billions for this upping our record breaking tax levels when we are trillions in debt and rising daily.

Then we have the hacking risk. All your data, bank accounts, travel, employment, medical history is there for the taking. And every malicious government and hacking group around the globe will be after this data.

At the time of writing this post there has been one success, we have seen something rarely achieved by any politician. Both the left and right of British politics are agreeing with each other such as Rupert Lowe, Adnan Hussain and Jeremy Corben. Normally enemies in politics they are all agreeing this is disgraceful and want this dropped immediately.

The real reason this is being adopted? Bowing to the global elites of the WEF and EU who want mass control of everything in our lives. Remember Davos or Westminster? It was all in plain sight…

A Quick History

Rolling out Digital ID in the UK has been attempted a number of times over the last 20 years. Tony Blairs first attempt after the September 11th terror attacks were on a voluntary basis but were intended to become compulsory for certain professions. The full rollout of the scheme never occurred and was scrapped under the following coalition government of 2010 with all data on the central database ordered to be destroyed by then Home Secretary, Theresa May.

She stated that the move was intended to ‘consign identity cards and the intrusive ID card scheme to history.’ But it’s back and more dangerous prospect than ever under the current Labour government lead by Keir Starmer who has openly stated that he wants to implement this and is more ’Davos than Westminster’ ie WEF over UK Sovereign Parliament.

Multiple newspaper reports this week (22 September 2025) are indicating that the Government are preparing for a big announcement at their party conference of another attempt to implement Digital ID, with it being optional at first. Its primary purpose will be to control immigration, reduce fraud and make our lives easier.

The EU & WEF

Both the EU and the WEF are on record as supporting the widespread adoption of digital identity. The EU has a specific, legally binding framework with a target of 2030, while the WEF promotes the concept as a global economic and social catalyst. The EU aims to have 100% of its citizens with access to a digital ID by 2030. This is to be achieved through the EUDI Wallet, a mobile based digital identity for citizens, residents and businesses.

There has also been an ongoing debate on Personal Carbon Trading (PCT) It is a concept that has been a topic of academic and political discussion under the name Personal Carbon Trading (PCT). PCT is a theoretical "downstream" cap-and-trade system that would apply to individuals. In such a system, a national cap would be set for emissions from household energy use and personal travel, and each citizen would receive a periodic, free carbon quota that could be traded on a new market.

Mass Surveillance & Access Control

Digital ID is the first step in mass state surveillance and control over the British people. If this goes ahead they will eventually monitor every aspect of your life. Where you go, how you got there, what you did, who you went with, what you spent and if you step outside the government accepted narrative you will be punished with financial penalties, restrictions and your freedoms withdrawn.

It will be marketed as a solution to make your life easier, control fraud, tackle crime and illegal immigration. The truth is much darker and sinister.

Digital IDs are normally downloaded to your phone. It will track your every move and activity which will be fed back and stored in a central database. The centralisation of this personal data will allow governments and other entities to monitor your digital life and curtail your individual freedom and privacy. Tracking via your phone is only the start.

A Digital ID will become a prerequisite for accessing government services and people without one will be excluded. This will lead to a two-tiered society where those with Digital IDs have more rights and privileges than those without. This was the exact scenario with the Covid Passport; if you could not prove you were vaccinated you could not go out to a restaurant, a pub, a club nor use air travel.

Although this ID will be optional to start, we predict the government will begin immediately changing the law, as with the Online Safety Act, to require all providers to require users to register with a Digital ID to access their services. This includes;

• Utility Services, Internet Service Providers, Digital TV Subscriptions, Energy

• Social Media Apps, Messaging, Mobile Devices Profiles

• Doctors & Hospital Appointments, Healthcare Services, NHS App

• Opening A Bank Account, Starting Employment, Obtaining Credit Agreements

• Land Travel, Flight Travel, Fuel Purchases

• Store Cards, Shopping, Online Purchases

As soon as you use your Digital ID to access the above, the government will have access to all this data and will bring it into your digital profile.

This has already started;

• Social media companies within the updated Online Safety Act are now required to provide their data to government on users if required.

• Ongoing attempt to force Apple to provide backdoor access to user backups.

• New company directors now need Digital ID.

Punishments & Penalties

Now the Digital ID has become a prerequisite for accessing essential services, governments will be using AI to monitor your entire life and punishments will be applied automatically. If you have exceeded your travel allowance you will be stopped from purchasing electricity or petrol for your car, or using a train. If you go over your CO2 quota or buy goods that are non recyclable you will be stopped from buying more goods. If you say anything that someone finds offensive online, you will be punished with restrictions and app disabled.

This has already started;

• Bank of England have openly admitted they are working on a programmable digital currency that can turn on/off the ability to spend your own money on type of goods/services which can be used as a punishment or implement a quota.

• Energy companies can identify if an electric car is charging, thus they can provide information to government on household and individual everyday usage.

• NCHIs (Non Crime Hate Incidents) by their nature are not a crime, and with no evidence, they can be applied to your profile and appear on advanced DBS checks risking jobs opportunities.

• The UK have already advertised contracts for AI systems to monitor online activity and a special police force.

• In 2024 there were on average 30 arrests a day for online speech violations

• The EU has proposed and working on implementing a Personal Carbon Trading (PCT) quota scheme for every citizen

Hacking & Identity Theft

Centralised databases containing all this sensitive information are prime targets for misuse by governments and hackers. A single data breach could expose the identities of millions, leading to widespread identity theft and fraud.

Data breaches and hacks are happening daily especially within government;

• Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) Data Leak (2023): This was a significant breach where a spreadsheet containing the personal data of approximately 10,000 serving police officers and staff was accidentally published online in response to a Freedom of Information request. The data included names, ranks, and roles, which was a major security risk.

• Ministry of Defence (MoD) Afghan Data Breach (2022): A serious breach occurred when the personal data of Afghans who had worked with the British military was leaked. The information, which included sensitive details, put the individuals at risk. This incident was a key driver for a subsequent government review of data security.

• NHS Data Incidents: The National Health Service (NHS) has been a frequent target. In June 2024, a cyberattack on a supplier of pathology services to the NHS in South-East London led to the postponement of thousands of appointments and procedures. This highlights the vulnerability of the public sector's supply chain.

Timeline to dystopia…

Once we have Digital ID in place, it will be slowly become compulsory to access more and more services. Our believe is that the series of events will be;

• Compulsory Digital ID implemented by 2030

  • Simultaneous slow extension of the Online Safety Act to required all mobile apps to require Digital ID to function.

  • Digital ID a requirement to register for all utilities initially when moving house but then extended to all.

  • Passports and Driving licenses phased out and replaced with Digital ID

• UK Central Bank Digital Currency implemented by 2030

  • Quotas introduce initially for use of energy, fossil fuels and air travel.

• Complete Rollout by 2035

  • Accessibility to healthcare services and GP appointments using Digital ID only.

• China Style Social Credit Scoring (TBC)

  • Although the EU has stated this is not in their plans the WEF have reviewed and commented on the Chinese System many times.

Our believe is that a Digital ID is part of a larger state sponsored surveillance, control and enforcement system.
