Hermer sign-off proves the justice system is being used as a weapon for political vendettas
We now know Lord Hermer personally signed off the 'emergency prosecution' of Lucy Connolly, there was other political interference, and the CPS mislead to the court.
We all know the that our justice system under Labour has become a joke, from Lammy cancelling of jury trials to Starmer using it as a tool for silencing dissent like the dictator he is. But it’s getting worse as yet more details of the case against Lucy Connolly, a conservative councillors wife, proves the justice system is being used, as we see it, for settling political vendettas.
What started as a heat of the moment unpleasant tweet, swiftly deleted after she calmed down, ballooned into a 31-month prison sentence. And now, fresh revelations confirm what we all suspected. This wasn’t justice, it was a stitch-up, personally signed off by our friend Lord Hermer. Labour are weaponising the law against ordinary Brits who dare speak out.
The Southport massacre
For those who need a reminder, the tragedy unfolded in the wake of the horrific Southport massacre on July 29, 2024, where three young girls were slain at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. In a moment of raw emotion, Connolly posted on X: “Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f---ing hotels full of all the b-----ds for all I care, while you’re at it take the treacherous government and politicians with them. I feel physically sick knowing what these families will now have to endure. If that makes me racist, so be it.” It was crude, unpleasant, and born of grief from loosing her own child but she deleted it within three hours, admitting it ‘doesn’t represent who I am,’ and followed up with a clear message that ‘violence is not the answer.’ A screenshot, allegedly snapped by a Labour councillor and sent to the police, sealed her fate. Arrested on August 6, charged days later, and denied bail twice under flimsy pretexts, like needing protection or risk of reoffending, despite her spotless record.
Lord Hermer’s political interference
Enter Lord Hermer, Labour’s deeply unpleasant Attorney General. CPS documents, obtained via a subject access request, reveal her case was fast tracked as an ‘emergency prosecution’ with Hermer’s personal sign-off coming within 12 hours of the request. Emergency? For a deleted tweet that incited no actual violence? As one senior barrister put it, ‘They have to prove it’s an emergency and it clearly isn’t... saying it’s an emergency prosecution is clearly political.’ This wasn’t standard procedure, it was a rush job to make an example of her. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp confirmed it by stating Government ‘wanted to make an example of Lucy Connolly,’ turning her into a ‘scapegoat.’
The sentencing was a farce. Pleading guilty on dodgy advice from a duty solicitor hoping to be home for Christmas with her family. Connolly ended up at Birmingham Crown Court, not a Magistrates court where a lighter touch might have prevailed. The DEI judge lectured on Britain’s ‘diversity and tolerance,’ ignoring glowing testimonials from ethnic-minority parents whose kids she cared for as a childminder. Thirty-one months inside, treated like a political prisoner, denied normal leave, held on remand, and slapped with draconian post release conditions. Meanwhile, CPS emails show directives for custodial sentences over 12 months in Southport related cases, unconstitutional interference that screams of top-down meddling. That’s not fair justice that this country was built on, the same justice system copied and deployed around the globe. It’s Labour activists using the justice system as a weapon.
This isn’t equality under the law, it’s two-tier political policing. Why was Connolly, a first time offender with no history of racism (police confirmed no other racist tweets on her devices), hammered so hard? It’s simple. She’s married to a Conservative councillor, and her words challenged the multicultural narrative Labour clings to, so she is a target.
Even the CPS lied to the court
Under Starmer’s regime, free speech is fine as long as it toes their progressive line, their permitted free speech. Dissent? You’re branded a far right thug and locked away. Remember, this is the same government that’s soft on actual criminals while cracking down on social media posts. The CPS deliberately lied to the court, claiming she had a pattern of racist tweets and did not like immigrants, outright lies, later corrected but too late to matter.
Connolly’s release in August 2025, after serving 40% of her term, doesn’t undo the damage. Her appeal was dismissed, with judges deeming the sentence not ‘manifestly excessive.’ But these new documents from the CPS blow the lid on what’s really going on behind the scenes, using the law to suit their own purposes, something nasty and politically motivated. Hermer’s office claims it was independent and routine, but it wasn’t. This was a calculated hit to quell unrest and send a message; question the immigration or multiculturalism narrative, and we’ll come for you so you best shut up.
Lucys future isn’t what Labour wanted
Lucy Connolly isn’t a monster, she’s a mum who spoke stupidly then realised a couple of hours later that wasn’t a nice thing to say and corrected it. Haven’t we all done that? Starmer betrays the UK every day, openly lies and deceives but will he get arrested for Misconduct in Public Office, of course not. Remember the ‘islands of strangers’ speech that Starmer said immediately afterwards he regrets and alleges he didn’t actually read it beforehand…
But all this deplorable politically motivated behaviour has backfired for Hermer, Starmer and Labour. Lucy is now a political celebrity with 100,000s of followers who appears on TV, podcasts, with MPs and on stage at political events.
Ooops Mr Hermer…
