Recent days have confirmed what many of us have long suspected but thought was too much of a wild conspiracy theory straight out of the classic comedy Yes Minister. Britain is not run by its elected politicians but by an unelected ideology driven bureaucracy that writes the scripts, predetermines the outcomes and treats Prime Ministers as little more than actors on a stage, ready to be controlled and directed.
The latest evidence comes from within the Labour Party itself and aligns perfectly with warnings from former insiders. Keir Starmer looks less like a leader and more like a puppet whose strings are pulled by the Deep State.
Dame Emily Thornberry Reveals Starmer Read The Statement About Mandelson From A Script
This week on Sky News, senior Labour MP and Foreign Affairs Committee chair Dame Emily Thornberry defended the Prime Minister over the Mandelson vetting scandal. When asked if the affair could damage Starmer, she stated that he had simply been reading from a prepared script in Parliament and had said exactly what he had been told to say.
Her comments came amid mounting questions about whether Starmer misled the House over Peter Mandelson passing security vetting. Thornberry, a staunch Labour loyalist, effectively admitted that the Prime Minister does not make independent decisions but recites lines handed to him by officials. This is not leadership. It is performance politics at its most cynical.

The speech had sparked outrage for echoing Enoch Powell. Yet the Prime Minister himself revealed he had not properly scrutinised the script. If even the Prime Minister cannot be bothered to read what his own team writes for him, what does that say about who is really in charge of government policy?

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss, speaking on The Mike Graham Show just days ago, declared that the deep state runs Britain and that elected politicians are reduced to rubber stampers of policies set by the machine. She described a collaboration between the bureaucracy and legacy media that blocks real change and undermines democratic mandates.
Dominic Cummings, chief adviser to Boris Johnson, has been even more explicit in recent interviews and writings. He has explained that Whitehall meetings are literally scripted in advance. Conclusions are drafted by officials before anyone sits down. The Prime Minister and ministers simply read out the pre-written lines from the chairman’s notes. As Cummings puts it, the battle is not over what is said in the meeting but over who writes those conclusions beforehand. This is not governance. It is theatre, but whom is the director.

Even some left leaning commentary now whispers about weaponised incompetence and officials withholding information from ministers. The consensus is growing across the political spectrum, yet only the right is willing to call for the radical action needed.
Time For A Democratic Revolution And Restore Britain Is The Answer
Britain cannot afford more of the same. The system is rigged against elected leaders and against the British people. A complete overhaul is required to put power back where it belongs, with accountable politicians and the voters who elect them.
