Polanski's laughter at Churchill vandalism is disgusting. It shows we need to Restore Britain
Laughing and voting against condemnation of the vandalism of our most famous wartime leader, the leader who gave him the very freedom he enjoys today, is disgusting and proves he is not for Britain.
In a recent London Assembly meeting, Conservative MP Susan Hall expressed deep horror over the vandalism of Winston Churchill’s statue in Parliament Square.
Vandals sprayed red graffiti on the monument, including phrases like “Zionist War Criminal” and “Free Palestine.” Hall condemned the act as a desecration of British history. Shockingly, Green Party leader Zack Polanski was seen laughing at her remarks when you could see she was visibly upset at what had happened to our great wartime leader.
Hall called him out directly, saying, “You’re laughing. I’m glad Zack that you find this amusing, because actually most of the public will not find this amusing.” Polanski then voted against a motion to condemn the vandalism.
Polanski’s views on British heritage often emphasise migration and compassion over traditional unity. He has called migration “Britain’s superpower” and stated that “part of being a British patriot is being compassionate to others.” He has also backed independence for Scotland and Wales, which could fragment the UK even more than we see today.
Born David Paulden, he changed his name to honour his Jewish-Polish roots, showing pride in personal heritage which is fine. What isn’t fine, and bloody disgusting quite frankly, is that a man who changes his name in honour of his own roots, roots that were tortured at the hands of the Nazi’s, then laughs and approves of the vandalism of a man who went on to save the country and defeat the very evil that was perpetrated against those roots.
Churchill rallied Britain against Nazi Germany after much of Europe fell. His leadership inspired resistance, led to the D-Day invasion, and helped defeat fascism. Without his resolve, Britain and the free world might have succumbed to tyranny.
Polanski’s laughter is utterly deplorable. It insults Churchill’s role in saving the UK and aiding Europe’s defeat of Nazi Germany. The statue, like other London monuments, symbolises not just the man but the sacrifices of countless British service personnel who died defending freedom. Such mockery disrespects our nation’s heroes and erodes cultural pride.
