Starmer & EU lawyers deliberately ignoring the British peoples wishes yet again
Starmer is despicable. He knows they wont win the next election. So with the EU they are signing us up to horrific EU agreements with poison pill exit deals.
As Starmer heads towards screwing the British people yet again in the evolving landscape of effectively signing us up to the EU, the European Union is pushing for a clause in new agreements that could impose crippling financial costs on Britain if a future government decides to withdraw. This development, highlighted in a recent report, comes amid efforts by the Keir Starmer to reset ties with the EU. While proponents say its only a standard measure for stability, we all know it would limit the UK’s flexibility and sovereignty. Starmer is deliberately screwing the British people out of spite.
Clauses with a poison pill
The focus is on a draft “veterinary agreement” designed to reduce border checks and red tape for British food and drink exporters. This deal would require the UK to align dynamically with EU laws on animal and plant products, potentially leading to the repeal of certain post-Brexit regulations, such as those from 2023 allowing genetically altered crops.
At the heart of the proposal is a “termination clause,” often referred to informally as a poison pill. This provision stipulates that if the UK exits the agreement, it must cover the full costs incurred by the EU for reinstating border controls. These expenses could include infrastructure, equipment, recruitment, and training.
Negotiations are ongoing regarding a “participation fee” for the UK, which could exceed the proportional costs of food safety and animal welfare checks. The clause is positioned as a deterrent against political volatility, particularly with the UK’s parliamentary term ending in 2029, aiming to provide long-term stability beyond short-term governments, or as we see it, Starmer and the EU deliberating signing us up and screwing the British peoples wishes.
Opposition pushback
Starmer’s administration has signalled willingness to align with EU regulations in this area as part of a broader Brexit betrayal. This move is promoted to ease trade frictions that have persisted since the UK’s departure from the EU. However, its just a surrender of sovereignty and signing us up to the EU by the back door because thats what Starmer wants and we will be tied to its laws without having any say. The British public clearly said in the referendum we want to be out of the EU and regain our own sovereignty but again Starmer doesn’t want that, so he kept quiet in his election manifesto, but he is a man of the socialist European Union and when he leaves his job he wants a seat in the EU government all on taxpayer expenses.
Financial and sovereignty implications
While the exact figures aren’t specified, the penalties will be significant, potentially running into economic crippling sums depending on the scale of border infrastructure needed. This will stitch up future UK governments, Reform or Conservative, making it costlier to reverse course and effectively locking in EU alignment. On the flip side, supporters argue it’s a fair, reciprocal arrangement common in international trade deals, ensuring neither side bears undue costs from the other’s decisions.
For the British public, this raises questions about the balance between economic benefits, like smoother exports, and potential long-term commitments. Aligning with EU rules might boost trade but could limit policy independence in areas like agriculture and innovation.
But remember one thing, The British people voted to leave the EU and that wasn’t carried out properly, despite this Starmer is signing us up again without mandate.
