Taxpayer funded Breakfast Clubs are not for you to go have coffee with other mums
The DfE video promoting 'free' breakfast clubs clearly shows how the Labour elite consider they need to be the nanny state rather than reducing taxes and getting the hell out of our lives.
So let me get this straight in my head as at the moment its ready to explode with all the gaslighting by the Uk Government.
Labour are introducing ‘free’ breakfast clubs for kids. The concept being to give children the best start to the day with a nutritious breakfast. No one would argue with that in principle.
But firstly it’s not free. Nothing is free. It’s all taxpayer money from the £40bn increase in tax and, so far, £100bn extra borrowing that all needs to be paid back. Labour are not fully funding them from these taxes either, only giving a partial contribution of tax payers money to schools, so increasing their costs. The costs go up for the school even further as the amount of staff needed to run these clubs increases and thus the employer NI contributions, an increase Labour also introduced. This obviously reduces the amount of money the schools get to spend on each child on what is their primary responsibility, educating.
Furthermore is also the estimated 10,000+ children being moved from the private sector into the state sector, wildly over their estimates, because their parents cant afford the 20% tax on their kids education, again introduced by Labour.
Today I see this unbelievable promotional video above from the Department for Education splashed all over social media, again created using tax payer money to explain why parents should be happy about these breakfast clubs. According to the video it’s because it can give them more time to ‘have coffee with other mums’ or ‘have a nap’, even stopping them from ‘forgetting if they have eaten’.
Honestly, is this a bloody joke?
What the hell happened to parental responsibility? Why should Labour be spending tax payers money so parents can go have coffee with other mums? Give their kids breakfast in case they forget? Or even go to bed?
NOT ONE parent stated it was a good for them because they didn’t have any money to feed their kids.
NOT ONE said it was good because they could get to work earlier and provide that bit more money for their family.
NOT ONE said it was good as they could then get to college or adult education centres to improve their qualifications and get a better job
Are these not the reasons for introducing something like this?
But this is Starmer’s ideology. He wants the state to become the parent. Take more control in our everyday lives. Make everyone dependant on government handouts so they are too scared to vote for anyone except Labour in case they loose their benefits, in whatever form they might be. It’s straight out of the socialist control playbook.
We don’t want a nanny state. Get out of our lives, reduce the scope of government and reduce our taxes. Let people decide what to spend their money on, not you.
